I wish it was possible to get shadow bolt under 1 second cast time

If you are at 600 haste without spellstone, it that still the way to go as a demonlock? been thinking about that, it might be more out dmg, but in the end it also sucks out alot of mana, wich is sometiems already a problem to maintain without wasting GCDs on lifetap when u dont have to move?
